Now was Sunday a day to die for or what! That is why we do it

Thanks to Skinner and his crew for organising people for the patrol boats. Well done.

The day started with a moderate sw 10-15 and building through the day to 18 kts. Both the 12 and 18 fleet having a split rig decision. The 12's being split between 2nd and 3rd and the 18's split between big and little.

With the building breeze the smaller rigs in the 12's were starting to come into the picture with Te Guru and mud in the Franken skiff showing some good speed and height to eventually win the race with MGS 2nd Design source 3rd Hi Rev 4th Exonet 5th and lil Monstro 6th. The 18's looked like there was a good battle going on at the front of the fleet between skinner ginge and flo. The 18's finished Skinner (don't know the boat name)1st followed by ct sailbattens then hellibrand (correct me if the name is wrong) then maersk then stunt academy.

It is great to see some new gear appearing on the ramp. Hopefully it will all be out sailing soon.

This Thursday racing is on. The long range forecast is looking better than last weeks for getting some racing done. 6pm Start two races windward leeward's. Two beats finish down wind.

After talking to people this weekend it is apparent that there would only be one boat (myself) going to taupo for the weekend. I am sorry Hamish but it is looking like not being a runner from the Auckland end. People got too many commitments.

Some housekeeping now!

Simon the boys are after blood. Sort out the bar please!!!

Lastly to continue having days of sailing like we had yesterday we need to be able to run boats. To do this we need Subs paid now! For those of you who are hopeless at keeping records I have attached the membership form again. Remember if you are paying by internet please include your name as a reference so we know who has paid.

See you all Thursday evening.
